Greatway has given me the opportunity to help others as I have been helped and to become a business owner.
My financial literacy and awareness began in 2017. I had just graduated with a B.Sc. in Health Science. I was looking to go to medical school. I quickly realized that while I knew a whole lot of health science, I did not know much about money, how it works or how to manage and grow it.
Between 2017 and 2019, I made a series of costly financial mistakes. The beautiful thing about being down is that there is no where else to go but up. I began learning about personal finances because I realized that no matter what career or profession that one is in, finances will always be a part of it.
I moved to Canada with my family in 2012 and it took me 8 years to learn what I know now. This was mostly due to ignoring the topic of money, not being open minded to learn and not understanding how money works in my new home country. I do not want that to be your story.
I am grateful for the financial literacy that I now have. The mentorship and training that is available to me through Greatway Financial is close to none.
